Tools & Settings Reference

Smart Header Mapping
Auto-maps spreadsheet columns to standard vCard fields. Each column is claimed once, so "Phone" cannot land on two properties, and every mapping is editable.
Default Country Code & Normalize Phones
Strips spaces, brackets and dashes, and prefixes bare 10-digit numbers with your country code. A number that already starts with + is left alone.
Deduplication (Merge / Skip / Keep)
Matches on phone, then email, then name plus company. Merge fills gaps on the card it keeps, Skip discards the later one, Keep allows both.
Export Mode
One combined .vcf, one file per contact in a ZIP, or split into chunks of 100 or 500 — useful because some phones and webmail importers quietly cap how many cards they accept at once.

Frequently Asked Questions

On iPhone, AirDrop or email the `.vcf` file to yourself and tap "Add All Contacts". On Android, open the Google Contacts app, go to Settings > Import > `.vcf file`. If the import stalls on a large list, re-export in chunks of 100 and import them in sequence.

Smart Mapping normalises each header and matches it against a synonym list, so `Cell Phone`, `Mob`, `Tel`, `Work Email`, `Company Name` and `Title` all find the right vCard property. Exact matches win over loose ones and each column is only claimed once. Where a header is ambiguous or missing entirely, the dropdowns on the left let you point any property at any column — they list the spreadsheet letter alongside the header text, so repeated or blank headers stay distinguishable.

Yes — drop a `.vcf` in and the tool switches direction, exporting one .xlsx with a labelled column per vCard property. The cleaning options still apply on the way out: phone normalisation, name capitalisation, deduplication and the name prefix all run on the cards before they reach the sheet, and the table on screen previews the rows that will be written. Version and file-splitting choices disappear, since the output is a single spreadsheet.

The Pre-flight report lists rows whose phone or email does not parse, whose birthday cannot be read as a date, that duplicate an earlier row, or that have no name, phone or email at all. Nothing is silently dropped — the flagged contacts still export unless you have chosen to skip duplicates — the report is there so you can fix the source data first, since a malformed number is far easier to correct in the spreadsheet than in a phone's address book afterwards.
